There is always mulch to deliver in the largest city in Tennessee, and whenever Goodwin delivers mulch in Memphis he clears the rest of his schedule for the day so he can have fun exploring this diverse and thriving metropolis. He gets his music groove on with a stop at Graceland to pay homage to The King (Elvis, that is!), and then he might swing by the Memphis Botanic Garden to enjoy its 23 specialty gardens – from roses and orchids to conifers and cacti, there is always a new plant to see. With more than 165 parks covering more than 3,200 acres, the chief mulch monkey can have trouble choosing a place to monkey around, but he loves visiting the Memphis Zoo and meeting his cousins in Primate Canyon, or on a hot day it’s off to Mud Island River Park with its scale model of the Lower Mississippi River. In the evenings after a day of successful Memphis mulch deliveries, he’s often spotted at music or theater performances or cheering on his favorite basketball players on the Memphis Grizzlies.
